Assemblyman Dan Hutchison is working on several bills this session that aim to improve public safety, increase oversight of utility companies, expand access to pediatric care, and address funding fairness for local fire districts.
A4651: Establishes penalties for parents who fail to supervise minors involved in public brawls or who incite disorderly conduct.
A5465: Requires electric public utilities to apply to BPU for certificate of public convenience and necessity prior to undertaking transmission project.
A3007: Increases maximum age for pediatric long-term care facility residents to 26.
A5538: Prohibits municipal utilities authority from charging fire district water service charges for fire protection systems if authority imposes water service charges on customers who are also taxpayers of fire district.
