The NJ PAS-1 Application is a combined application for seniors to apply for property tax relief programs. If you are under 65 years of age, you may be eligible for ANCHOR!
ANCHOR Program
ANCHOR (Affordable New Jersey Communities for Homeowners and Renters):
You are eligible if:
You were a New Jersey resident, and
You owned/rented and occupied a home in New Jersey that was your principal residence (main home) on October 1, 2024; and
Your 2024 New Jersey gross income was not more than $250,000 for homeowners and $150,000 for renters.
Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement)
The Senior Freeze program reimburses eligible seniors and disabled residents for property tax increases on their principal residence.
You or your spouse were 65 or older on December 31, 2023; or receiving federal Social Security disability payments on or before December 31, 2023.
You owned and lived in your home or mobile/modular home since December 31, 2021, or earlier
Income Limits:
2023 — $163,050 or less; and
2024 — $168,268 or less
StayNJ
Stay NJ is a property tax relief program to cut seniors' property taxes in half (up to $6500). The income limit is $500,000.
