We are happy to share that 6 pieces of legislation sponsored by Assemblymen Dan Hutchison & Cody Miller passed the Assembly:
Advancing Public Safety, Sober Living Regulations & Consumer Protections
A4814 (Hutchison) – Establishes tianeptine as Schedule II controlled dangerous substance.
A4652 (Hutchison) – Establishes offense of inciting public brawl; upgrades penalty for disorderly conduct in certain circumstances.
A4535 (Hutchison) – Concerns State regulation of cooperative sober living residences and boarding houses generally; appropriates $100,000.
A4262 (Hutchison) – Exempts creditor from paying municipal property registration fee if property is subject to automatic stay under federal Bankruptcy Code.
Enhanced Crowd Management Training & Protections for Pregnant Firefighters
A4653 (Miller) – Requires AG to establish training program for crowd management and provide resources to municipal police department or force for large gatherings and flash mobs.
A3810 (Miller) – Requires adoption of policy addressing job-related issues of pregnant firefighters.
