For the past year, we've proudly hosted the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJ MVC) Mobile Unit at our office in Washington Township. After 12 visits, we successfully helped just under a thousand residents to secure a REAL ID. Our office coordinated with the NJ MVC to create a smooth process without the need to travel long distances or wait in overcrowded facilities.
When the REAL ID mandate took effect back in May, many residents found themselves stuck facing the tight deadline and limited appointment availability at MVC locations. Understanding the urgency, our office was able to host the MVC Mobile Unit, right here in our parking lot. This on-site service allowed residents to complete their REAL ID applications close to home, saving them time, travel, and frustration.
Now, the Transportation Security Administration has announced it may start charging a fee for travelers without a REAL ID. We understand this is an ongoing need. We are happy to announce that the MVC Mobile Unit will be returning in January.
If you still need your REAL ID or if you know someone who does, please call our office at 856-232-6700 to be added to our list. More updates will be shared as we get closer to January.
