I'm thrilled to share that several of our district's funding requests have been approved in New Jersey's 2025 state budget. Here's a breakdown of the projects that will receive state support:
Gloucester Township:
$500,000 has been allocated to transform a former bank building in Blackwood into a community center and arts venue. This funding will renovate the interior and equip the center with the necessary furniture and equipment.
Washington Township:
We have secured $450,000 to create one of Gloucester County's first inclusive parks at Washington Lake Park. This park will offer a space where all children, regardless of ability, can play together.
Winslow Township:
The Winslow Township Fire Department will receive $500,000 to purchase new Air Packs, known as self-contained breathing devices (SBCAs) that protect firefighters from smoke and toxic fumes.
Monroe Township:
Williamstown Fire Company will benefit from $400,000 to help build a new firehouse. The funds will cover various needs, including security features, furnishings, and a weight room for physical training.
Buena Vista:
We have secured $400,000 to construct a new storage facility for road salt, replacing the township's deteriorating salt shed.
Over $2.2 million has been allocated for these vital projects in our district. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our office at 856-232-6700.
